Multi-role remote radio hook. This device allows to operate with standard ropes, eliminating the need for dedicated electrical ropes, with a significant saving of weight and complexity of hooking. No maintenance costs of electrical ropes are foreseen (as they are absent). The length of the rope can be adapted according to the needs, connecting more ropes together without electrical connections. The system must be recharged before use and ensures 500 releases within the following days. The system is equipped with a self-contained battery and a coded radio control that activates the opening of the hook. A small-sized radio transmitter is installed on the frame of the helicopter’s center-of-gravity hook. When the transmitter receives the impulse from the button on the cyclic stick, it sends a coded signal to the remote radio hook that releases the load.
